Then today (Sunday), a group of the DTD testers all went out & cleaned up the whole area around a local mall. It amazes me what people will throw away and how irresponsible they can be. Wow. On this round, I felt like we really did improve the area because we picked up a LOT of stuff. Old lighters, cigarettes, broken bottles, drink containers, even a car lock (think the Washington County police might want to patrol that area a little more). Anyhow, it was not only a major act of kindness for the environment, but we all got to talk about how we're feeling about going through the whole testing process and the things we've yet to overcome. In my case, I'm scared to death of doing an open form and have no idea of what to do. I just get up there and feel like I don't know anything. Then we talked about what made us decide we wanted to go for our black belts. Then we decided it was really really raining too much and we were waterlogged. It was time to wash our hands and get coffee!
I love that part of the whole BB process... Thanks everyone for being there for each other. :)
it was really good today. and i'm really glad we had such a good turnout since we only told people yesterday morning after conditioning.
