Hello black-belt team! Now the title of my blog gives away what I am going to be talking about in this blog, but oh well. So I have been doing this for two years now with my family and that is not having any food in our kitchen that has corn syrup! Corn syrup was first discovered in a food lab ( that's right a food lab. Now that so sounds healthy!NOT!) and they have all different kinds of corn syrup like (HFCS stands for high fructose corn syrup) HFCS 55 ( used in soft drinks), HFCS 42 ( used in breads or any baked treats) and much, much more. I'll list some foods that have any form of corn syrup....
Power Ade
Heinz ketchup
Some salad dressings
Breyer's yogurt
Sometimes meats
Crackers
And of course every single candy you can think of!
Even if the bag says all natural still check because I found a bag of apple chips that said all natural things were in the ingredients, but I checked and found high fructose corn syrup as the second most used ingredient! SO BE ON THE LOOK OUT! REGULAR SUGAR IS MUCH, MUCH, MUCH, MORE HEALTHIER!
I don't mean to scare anyone, but this is a black-belt test so be healthy!
