Age

This morning I woke up with a stiff neck. I didn't think anything of it. It was raining and the window was open. I went down to the garage to move some kayaks around (Jess and I had a morning stroll planned on the Tualitan River). In the process of moving these light but awkward items I felt a POP go from my neck all the way down to my lower back. I was frozen for a minute bent over not able to stand up. Once I was able to move again I went into the house and popped some Ibuprofen rubbed on some icy hot and I have been alternately putting hot and cold packs on it all day. I plan on seeing the chiropractor in the morning and hopefully I'll be ready for class by tomorrow night.
I'm a little frustrated because this has been happening more frequently lately. I feel like I get myself in a good workout rhythm and something seems to always happen to stop my progress. I realize that as I get older I need to do more warming up before I go into a full workout. The truth is I don't want to. I want to stay young and invincible. Growing up is hard to do.
