Well 14 years ago today I wasn't feeling very good. Joshua was born about 7 hours ago on this day and I was positively wiped out. I had been on bed rest for 3 months following pre term labor. I gained over 50 pounds after laying still for so long. I was only allowed one trip up, and back down our stairs each day. It was CRAZY. Labor was horrible - I was so out of shape I couldn't breathe let alone push. And then there he was. Beautiful and perfect. I look at him today, and see the young man he has become and I think "this is one thing I will never regret."

I could never have imagined that 14 years later I would be testing for my 2nd degree. How happy is that? Moms....whenever this test gets tough just remember NOTHING is tougher than labor. If you can survive that you can survive ANYTHING! And for those of you who are not moms yet....just think of this as your dry run! :-)

  1. Jessica, this is inspirational! I am not a mom yet, but someday I do hope to experience pregnancy, childbirth, and motherhood. I do know that I will strive to emulate the moms I see every day at Aim High!
