Soccer - from Sarah

Well, the soccer season is finally overL. Over all, it was a good season. We won most of our games, only losing 2- the 1st game (the one I wasn’t at) and our game on Saturday when we played a classic/club team instead of a recreational team like us. That game was kind of sad. It was a total blow out; it was 4-0 at the end of the half. It was 8-0 when the game finally ended. Luckily, Sunday’s game made up for it. We were playing banks. We won, 7-1. It was a great way to end the season, especially because I scored a goal. Jade (our top defender) cleared the ball out of the back, making it land right in front of my neon cleats. I dribbled as fast as I could. I could hear the other team behind me, right on my heels actually, and right as one player came up next to me, I broke into full sprint. The players around me were hopeless, I was too fast. I hit the mid-field mark and increased my pace. Now, it was just me and the one poor, helpless defender. I easily dodged her, using one of my favorite fakes, and zeroed in on the goal. I didn’t hesitate, I swung my leg with all my strength and the soccer ball went flying into upper corner of the net, so high that the goalie wouldn’t have been able to reach it if she tried. Ya, so that was my amazing memento. Tonight was the end of season party. I got a super cool trophy, making my collection so large that I had to re-arrange all of my metals, ribbons, and trophies just to make it all fit. It’s really a bummer that the season is over but my friend Natalie from my team and I am going to do a camp together. I can’t wait for the next season to start!!! FROM CGN SARAH
